Obsessed Much?!

Packing your entire house really makes you focus on all the junk you accumulate. I am so envious of friends I have that are minimalists and don't feel the need to keep EVERYTHING like I do. However, I understand how truly blessed I am to own so much.

Anywho, packing/moving made me realize there are some items that I just can't seem to get enough of. Of course my closet is jammed pack with clothes (a lot of which I never wear) and I have too many pairs of shoes (that all look the same according to Mr. Pickle), but I'm talking about other items that I have started a 'collection' of.

Candles - I am obsessed with scented candles. I do use them often, but not often enough to have the amount I have!!

Scented Lotions/Body Spray/Body Wash/Perfume - I am really sensitive to scents (get headaches easily), but when I find a scent I like, I will buy it. Plus, a lot of scents at Bath & Body Works don't last too long. I swear I find a new favorite scent and they discontinue it. Therefore, I tend to go overboard when I see it at the half yearly sale :)

Jewelry - I do have a lot of family heirlooms and jewelry that has been in the family for a while (haha, family jewels), but that is not what I am talking about here. I am talking about the fun Forever 21 necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings that I buy but NEVER end up wearing. I usually keep the same key pieces in heavy rotation. Yet, I am always tempted to buy more.

Craft Supplies - I always get craft ideas but don't always follow through and do them, but I keep the supplies 'just in case.' I must say though, every time I get rid of something thinking I won't use it, I find myself looking for it later.

Picture Frames - I love pictures and have WAAAAAYYYY to many, but I don't display nearly as many as I used to. I hope that once I get settled into our new home, I can print up some pictures I have been meaning to and frame them and get rid of the rest.

Nail Polish - Okay, so I am aloud to have a number of different nail polishes, but the problem is is that I buy different shades of reds, pinks and darks. I don't really branch out from there.

Stationary - I am a sucker for cute stationary and I rarely even send out hand written notes.

I have put myself on restriction from buying any more of these items until I use what I have or donate/sell what I won't use.

What do you 'collect'?

I have WAY too much of all of the things you listed there, but to add to that: lip glosses, body wash, and vera bradley cosmetic size bags!

Wow you really do have a lot of craft stuff! Want to share? LOL. I love nail polish too, and I only buy OPI.

Jamie, wow, I collect all the same stuff, on top of many, many books! I probably have over 250 books in my collection. I still buy some books on impulse, but am getting better. I love collecting rare and vintage style books, too.

Craft items for sure, and beauty related items, a definite.

I also used to buy lots of clocks. I had to buy one this last Christmas because of how cute it looked (looked like something from the '20s). And, Cooper said, "Don't we have enough clocks?" lol I slyly said, "Uhhh, no, not really. We need one over here."

Anyway, keep on collecting, but choose wisely :) (unlike myself, lol)
