What a weekend!!!! I had loads of fun, but man it is obvious I can't hang like I used to!
Friday night was date night for Mr. Pickle and I. We went to dinner and saw Shutter Island. I wasn't too excited to see the movie, but Mr. Pickle really wanted to see it so I agreed. It was actually really good. Mr. Pickle liked it too.
Saturday morning I went to spend time with my grandpa. Here he is drinking out of the ginormous coffee mug my sister and I bought for him on our recent trip to Hawaii. My grandpa LOVES Hawaii. He (and my grandma) took my sister and I to Hawaii almost every summer growing up. It is really sad that he has gotten to the point he is unable to travel, because that is one of his favorite hobbies.
Saturday night my best friend, Diana, came over for a girls night. Mr. Pickle had some of his friends over so Diana and I allowed them to make us dinner before we headed out for the night. After dinner (and a few cocktails at home) we headed out to a bar. After being there for less than an hour we decided to go meet up with an old friend we hadn't seen in YEARS. After visiting with our friend for an hour, we met up with the boys for some late night bowling. The bowling alley close to our house brings out the "Thunder" (ie. they have a DJ, turn off the overhead lights and turn on the black lights) on Saturday nights after 10:30, always a good time.It started out playing the arcade games while waiting for an available lane.
From there we bowled the night away (at least tried). He really did fall while he was trying to bowl but I made him reenact it since I didn't have my camera out when it actually happened.
Us ladies actually did pretty good...I got three strikes! And to think, they used to call me Gutter Girl because I sucked so bad!

Since the party continued back at our house until almost 5 am, we spent most of the day on Sunday relaxing around the house and taking a nap or two :) Like I mentioned before, definitely not able to hang like I used to. This used to be just another night for me in my younger days, but now I need naps and a days to recover...getting old is the pits.How was your weekend?

We saw Shutter Island too and I thought it was excellent. That is such a cute photo of your grandpa. I went to Hawaii for the first time this past September and it was the most beautiful place I have ever seen.
I love going glow bowling and the photos look like you guys had a lot of fun! Nights like that are the best.

Well, you are certainly making the MOST of your weekend! I watched St. Mary's beat the Ganzaga basketball team!!!!! EVERYONE down in Las Vegas - Marianne, Laura, Sue/Steve/Dave and Mary are there cheering!!!

Did laundry and visited my mom on Saturday. On Sunday, went to Lake Merritt in Oakland and also ate some Ethiopian food across from the lake on Grand. Did some grocery shopping.. and watched the Oscars. I guess pretty relaxing, eh? lol.
OMG, the picture of grandpa is hilarious! That mug looks humungous! I'm bummed I missed hanging out with you and Diana.
