Mr. Pickle Turns 30!

This Sunday my wonderful hubby, Mr. Pickle, turned the BIG 3-0!!!

Mr. Pickle's Cake

As I mentioned before, we celebrate Mr. Pickle's birthday by going to Pacific Grove with a few friends. Our friend's have a GORGEOUS home in Pacific Grove and have been inviting us every year. This year my sister and her boyfriend came with us to join in on the fun.

I picked Mr. Pickle up from the San Francisco Airport on Friday afternoon (he was flying back from the BCS National Championship game in Pasadena). We headed to Cannery Row and stopped by one of our favorite restaurants for an appetizer while we waited for the other couples to get into town.

Once we got to the house we ordered pizza, opened some wine and enjoyed each others company.

Saturday morning the girls took a walk on the beach. Once we returned to the house we had a yummy breakfast. After getting cleaned up and meeting up with some other friends and headed out to a few wineries in Carmel Valley.

Wine Tasting at Joullian

After hitting several wineries we headed back to the house. Again, we opened some wine, enjoyed the ocean view and the sunset and let the boys take over the kitchen to make an amazing dinner. Mr. Pickle and my sister's boyfriend, Scott, are great cooks and love to make excellent dishes. We are some lucky ladies!! (My sis took pictures of the food, so I will have to add them later.) After dinner we enjoyed some ice cream cake and some more wine.

Happy Birthday To You!!

Sunday morning my sister and I woke up before everyone else and went for a walk on the beach. The weather outside was beautiful!

Love The Beach

When we got back to the house we made some breakfast. After hanging out for a bit we picked up some clam chowder in a bread bowl (this is a must have when you visit the area). We hit the road shortly after. We had an amazing weekend with some great people. Can't wait to do it again!!

P.S. Yes, we realize our weekend basically consisted of eating too much food and drinking a lot of wine!!
